    THE CHRONICLER'S FAIR WELL

?I, The Chronicler, taught angler?s knowledge, and I pondered, searched out and arranged many articles. The Chronicler sought to find appropriate words and to write words of truth correctly. Words of wise anglers are like goads, and masters of these words are like well-driven nails. However, my fellow anglers, be warned: the writing of the many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body.? [Loose Paraphrase from The

Thank you for all the time and energy which you have put into FAOL and fly fishing over the years.

Thank you Neil for all you've done to care for Ladyfisher's cyber baby. For the last 22 years I have gleaned more information from FAOL than I ever would have on my own. I can't count the times I have led new fly fishers to FAOL for guidance. For all of that, what's more, is the lifelong friends I've made because of Jim's, Deanna's, your and Ron Tidd's tireless efforts. Thank you for 22 years of family. My profile says that I joined in 2005, but that's when I changed my name. I first joined in 1998 under the name jlsanders225.

what's more, is the lifelong friends I've made
I can attest to that .. here here! Joe my old friend
I would bet I could mention several Names from years past
that would bring good memories , I recall many of them,
No sour notes or regrets well maybe just one,

Many years ago I fished the Teton area , as I was driving to the
stream I drove by car stuck in the ditch,, well normally I would of
stopped to help but I was on my way to the stream. and that guy
stuck in the ditch was one less guy on the stream.. lol
Turned out it was Mark , I think he posted a photo here and I recognized
    it. So Mark I apologize,
I caught my limit that day, quite possibly thanks to you!

I am grateful for Fly Anglers Online. It has brought together many people. There have been meetings and Fish-Ins and great times. Some of the friends I made have passed on while others are still flipping flies. Thank you, Chronicler, for carrying the light. Warm regards to all.

Started reading the weekly home page soon after taking up fly angling in 2003. It was foundational to my experience. Happened to look at the BB a few years later and found a really interesting and fun group of fellow anglers to interact with. Bowed out ( from the BB ), for the most part, several years ago, because I ran out of things to contribute. But overall, it was a great ride.

Thanks to JC, LF, Neil and Ron for keeping it going as long as it did. Hopefully the site will continue to be available as a historical reference and resource for anglers of all ages and levels of experience.
