    Gurgle pop. (http://www.flyanglersonline.com/flyt...121503fotw.php)

Take five minutes to tie, cost about a dime each using ingredients found at Wally's World, float great, and catch bluegills by the score. Yellow is best but I also carry brown, red, and black.

Every color gurgle-pop I've ever tried has worked. I have found that if the bite on the color you are using slows down .... just change the color. That seems to get them excited again.

These are some of my standard poppers made from the pre-formed soft foam bodies I tie them on size 10, 8 and 6 hooks for panfish.

    These are two other favorites
I used one of those soft foam spider bodies, large size as a template to cut the shape from various thickness of craft foam.

This one is made from a heart shaped piece of craft foam. I modified a pattern that Harry Steeves showed me years ago

I also use gurglers and Los Alamos Ants. Most effective colors white, fluorescent yellow or yellow and chartreuse

Bluegills just rock, love'm, even as a kid Id buy the cheapo poppers from the local gas station and fling them out with a spinning rod \ reel, gills would attack instantly, great idea for a thread.
