Started as the HP (Hare/Partridge) Nymph but, with a nod to the Gartside Sparrow, morphed into an exercise in dubbing loops and aftershafts. Don't get hung up on the exact materials; use whatever you want.

thread - UTC 140 burnt orange
tail - hare's mask
rib - small wire gold
body - tying thread
thorax/collar - pheasant aftershaft dyed brown
hackle - Mearns quail

Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to point above barb




measure (gap width past bend) a clump of hare's mask; tie in/create tapered abdomen






rib abdomen, helicopter end cover with thread




create dubbing loop, insert aftershaft, spin, moisten, wrap
