thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - mallard flank dyed rust
rib - oval tinsel gold
body - dubbing. rusty orange
hackle - hen pheasant

mash barb, start thread, wrap to bend




measure (shank length) some mallard flank fibers; tie in/trim






tie in rib




dub thread/dub body






rough it up a bit
