    Jeremy,
I did a review of the Stonfo vise I bought. It is basically the same vise, but does not have the "pop-off" vise head. Seems well made. European spelling is often "vice".

The Elite vise, which is the one I have and reviewed here some months ago:

    jeremy,
Absolutely no apology needed. If any, you have mine! Was just pointing out that, for what it's worth, there is at least one review of the Stonfo Elite vise available here. It is sort of the basic model for the "Transformer".
Seems like a good, quality vise.

    Byron,

I still have your contact info and will happily send you a few detailed pics of a couple rods mentioned before. Canes. Good 'uns...
I just tend to put things off awhile. Story of my life.

    Thanks. Would enjoy seeing them.
Reminds me of a story from this summer:
We were wade fishing the Madison...in and out of the water as they were feeding near the bank. A fellow, who must have been well into his 80's came down to the bank with his son. He was nearly 100% blind and was holding a bamboo rod he had built.
I told him to cast his fly just out into the moving water. He handed me the rod and asked me to catch a fish. I looked at his double fly rig and thought there was no way I could get a strike for him. On the first cast I caught a nice brown. When I told him, he was so excited, he just kept laughing and talking about it. It was a fine rod too!
