    Remember that the Hubble was developed from the KH (Key Hole) spy satellites, and not even the latest one of the time. That's something to keep in mind if you get the urge to sunbathe nekkid...

    The mirror on Hubble had to be so smooth that it was the equivalent of the surface of the earth having no bumps more than 6 inches high ---> smooth to 1/800,000 of an inch.

    1/800,000 of an inch maybe more difficult to understand than a number like trillion. How do you measure that?
