    Just got my size 17 hooks and think they are "Just Right" for a PMD Bi-Color Sparkle Dun

    Hey Byron, you should have gone with 17 1/2, they work th best for me. Also I use the 16 3/4 for the grannom hatch. Ha! Ha!

    Bruce,
    Hook size is not important. Just tie the fly to its insect size on any sized hook.
