    Default canoe rod holder

Anyone making their own rod holders for a small canoe? I would like to have a rod holder that holds two rods while I'm paddling. I remember reading a thread several months ago but could not find the link. Thanks.

Also, any information on an anchoring system, fore and aft, would be helpful.

As for rod holders, LL Bean has been selling a light metal clamp mounted model for over 50 years ...No holes needed and 50 years of use says a lot, To me anyway!

Self locking anchor systems can be found in most fishing related catalogs such as Cabelas..I have a set I pulled from my own canoe prior to selling it...I think I acquired them, from them...
    Wish ya great fishing,Bill

I used 2 piecies of pvc,cut a wide slot in each 3/4 the way down (for the reel) mounted those to a 1x4 with some wood screws thru the slot in the pvc c lamp to the gunwall of the canoe slip in the rods, the reels will stick out of the slots and rest on the bottom of the slot, rods stick straight up.Alas no camera but mine still works and cost about $4 and 1 hour to build.
