    Default Need a Net holder...

    Hello everyone,
I am in need of a net holder / carrier.
What I have is a Leonard landing net with no attachment to hang off my vest. I do not want to drill an eyelet into the handle, or any other type of attachment.
It seems like I have seen loops or something made for this, but I cn't seem to remember anything these days.
Can any of you be of help?
    Thanks,
    Gordie (butternut-tyer)

Thanks Dave S. ......that could work, I just need to use a leather loop on the net and attach it to the split ring.

If the magnet setup appeals to you, Hook and Hackle sells one that comes with a small nylon strap for attaching to the bow of your net.

I have done this, and find that zip ties suck at holding up to the sun and outdoors.

I have used the same one for 3 years now...not bad for something that costs .02 cents a piece...

cheap chinese crap zip ties degrade quickly. US Made 3M UV Resistant (black) zip ties last for years outdoors. I deal with this at work all the time.

I have one of these and it works great on the rare occasion that I fish anywhere that the fish are large enough to require a net. I just used some fly line backing to attach mine to the bow of my net.

Thanks everybody...I will order one online. I don't usually use a net, I fish small streams for brookies. I bought this net last year at Anglers Summerfest at the Catskill Flyfishing Museum. I was told it was made by a guy named Tom Watson with Rod Kusse's guidance and of H. Leonard design. Not sure how true this is, but it's a well made net with a hand tied bag.
