Angry Forum bug of sorts, that REALLY BUGS ME!!!

Is there a way for the admin to remove (or move) the Post New Thread Button that sits above the Quick Post box. OR make the Submit Repy button way more prominent. (or get rid of the Quick Post Box) For the umteenth time I've accidently hit that to submit my response that I just spent half an hour on, only to see it disappear...and no way to back up to get it back. Talk about wanting to throw something through this computer screen.

Does anyone else have this problem?

The end result is that I get so ticked that I don't bother to respond AGAIN...so if I've appeared absent from the forum lately...that's why!

I certainly concur. Done that a few times myself.

    Mato,

I finally decided that the safest way to write out a long message was to create it in a Word document then copy paste (but you will have to edit out the question marks after you submit it). That way you can save your answer to possibly be used again in the future or edited to fit a new question.

Just my 2 cents worth which now days isn't even worth 2 cents.

I've done it, too. The buttons really are not placed in bad places. I'm just not paying attention.

Guys, one thing I've learned to do while typing forum posts is to occasionally hit Ctrl+A and then Ctrl+C, which copies all the text you're tying to the clipboard. Then, if your post suffers some sort of mishap, just repost and paste in your text. I always try to remember to do this when I'm finished typing a long post. Just Ctrl+A to select all and Ctrl+C to copy. Takes about 1/2 second.

I've done it a couple of times but I hope I can learn not to click the wrong button within the next couple of years. 8T
