Thread: what blank for a nymphing rod?

  1. Default what blank for a nymphing rod?

    hi all,
    i am looking into getting into rod building and am thinking about doing a 4wtish 10 ft nymphing rod. What blanks would you recomend for it? i was looking for arod that has a senstive tip, and a reasonable price tag

    You might take a look at the Batson switch rod blanks. That blank is longer than 10 foot, but I beleive that it would still fit the bill with the other criteria you are looking for.
    I would say that a person could easily use that blank for building a nymph rod. The tip on this blank does have a good feel to it and if you shop around the price can be a very good value.
