    Default Fishing the Divide

We have been at Henry's Lake all week. Staying at the Red Rock Camp ground which is awesome.
Weather when we got here was cold and windy, limiting our time on the water, but we did fish some rivers to get out of the wind

    Beautiful sunsets every night

OH an even though it warmed up to unseasonable WARM July type weather, the fish are still willing to play
    Here is a little sample:

And ONE of the Hogs...this one at 28+" and 8 lbs

All release quickly and carefully to GROW!!!!!

Looks like you had it pretty well wired Joni. Did big Al catch anything? Where are HIS pictures.
    They're just fish, right? Right?

Default OK, so can someone explain it to me.

I look at that fish and I see lunch.
I understand minimum fish sizes, but this whole catch and release thing confuses me... Whatever happened to catch and eat?

I still remember my teen years in Vermont ice fishing for perch.
The group would catch quite a few, and then we'd clean them and cook them and eat them. And they were fantastic. Unless the fish wasn't worth eating, I don't get it.

I'd say if you want to eat fish, keep a couple to eat. If you don't, put them back. Not everyone likes to eat fish. I know, because I don't like the taste of freshwater fish. Show me the beef, or better yet, BBQ'd pork!

    Thumbs up Henry's Lake

That was a hog of a Cutbow. Are you catching any Brookies? I didn't get to fish there all summer. Might have to run up some Saturday. Enjoy the rest of your time there.

    Hey Mojo -

Don't take Ron's comment seriously - he is just "baiting" you.

    Joni -

Glad you guys had a good time.

Now, that comment about "never starving" ?? IF THAT AIN'T JUST BEGGING FOR A SKUNK, I don't know what would be.

    John
