For those of my friends who live in the region of the Pacific Northwest of the United States, I'm planning a little fishing get together. The place is Marshall Lake, located about 7 miles north of Newport Washington. The date is the 3rd weekend of June, '09, Father's Day. The quest is planted Westslope Cutthroat. The sizes of the fish are from 10" to 14". Marshall Lake is a beautiful mountain lake in the Northeast corner of the state of Washington. It is a 177 acre lake with a maximum speed limit of 5 mph, so kayaks, canoes, float tubes and pontoons are perfect for this venue. The lake is not limited to fly fishing, so we will see some folks trolling with hardware out of big boats. However, it is a very comfortable lake to fish and the beauty of the area is intoxicatingly relaxing. Here, http://lotechslodge.blogspot.com/200...hall-lake.html ,is a link to an article in my blog about the lake. The resort has boats and canoes available for rent, and over 60 rustic camp spots. It is probably the most beautiful lake I've ever fished. So, if you are up for a relaxing weekend on a beautiful lake, plan on this expedition. Some of my friends from Washingtonlakes.com will be there and I'd really like to see lots of folks from FAOL there as well. You can e-mail or PM me with your questions or information for reservations. I'll be there from Friday thru Sunday. I hope to see you all there.
