    Question How?

    Hey John,

Did you just hold the camera underwater and do a point and shoot? Pretty darn good aim if you did. 8T

    Hi 8T -

Yeah - that's pretty much it. EXCEPT, I took 27 pics today and ended up with 7 or 8 worth keeping, including the two shown here. ( A couple others ended up in my Fishing Report on the South Fork of the Snake. )

Lots of close-ups of heads, or just the back of the fish, or the belly or some other part of it, or maybe nothing but water and streambed ?? Kind of get the hang of it after a while, but even at that it is more "point and miss" than "point and shoot."

One thing that I found today, with the brown trout, playing them a little longer, then kneeling down in the water and kind of leading them around with the leader for a while really seemed to settle them down. They would just kind of hang there pretty quiet and I could take numerous shots in quick succession ( as fast as the camera would reset, which isn't all that fast ) adjusting the camera level and angle hoping to get a good shot.

That technique didn't work with the one cutthroat that was worth trying to shoot. It just kept moving until it threw the fly just before I was ready to take the pic. Hope to have some more chances with cutts, and get a good pic of a bigger one ??
