    Default Storm coming

Here's a picture I took from my front yard when a big storm came through. This one dropped some tornados, and the sirens went off shortly after I took this.

I'm usually one of the guys outside watching the storms develop. It is an amazing thing to experience.

Spent a bit of time Thursday evening watching storm clouds build and drop "spin-ups". Didn't take any pictures. I was too busy yelling "Holy sh*t!! Did you see that one????"
Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

    ol' blue -

Great shot of a really interesting looking sky and cloud formation.

I'm with you. Always go out to watch a front or system coming through - if I'm not already out in it !!

P.S. Hope that Dorothy and Toto and all their friends and neighbors are okay.

Haven't seen a sky like that since I left North Dakota. Must be a Great Plains thing. Used to love watching the storm fronts roll in except the thunder and lightening scared my dog.

You southern folks can laugh all you want about the frozen Great white North but we don't have Tornado's or Hurry up canes up here.
Quite frankly they scare the crap out of me.
Lightning once hit our house discoloring the chrome on my Mom's wood-stove. We were not home when it hit. Neighbours put out the fire. I do remember golf ball sized hail on the prairie's in Saskatchewan.
For God's sake, Don't Quote me! I'm Probably making this crap up!

Nice picture. Classic wall cloud with rotation. How would like like to get up close and personal with that monster while in your scout helicopter. Believe me you will gain a new respect of mother nature. I speak from personal experience, been there, done that! Vomit commit, upchuck wagon and all of that....

Neat picture! I love to watch storms & if I ever hit the lottery, I'm going on one of those storm chasing trips.
    Thanks for sharing.
