    Default canoe

I didn't want to hi jack the other thread so I started a new one. I'm lookng for a third seat that can be bolted into a Coleman canoe so I can set it up to row for long distances. I use it in the salt and paddling alone can be a chore especially for longer distances. Anyone have one laying aroud they'd be willing to sell inexpensively. Thanks, Ron

I don't know if this helps, but Cabela's has drop in canoe seats for about 55 bucks. Looks like it would be easy to secure, but has no back on it.

I like the looks of the one from Cabelas, and it's priced below the other websites selling the same product for $65 -$69 on their sites. If you're looking for low budget, here's a sling seat option from Campmor.com for about $22

What you realy need is a outrigger type rowing seat with the oar lock out beond the canoe side. i built one years ago with conduit. Go to google type in 'Canoe Rowing Rig" and check out "Sail boat to go" and "canoe rowing rig"
