Default Fish Photography.... a gentler method inside...

Interested in lessening the stress caused while taking their picture? Looking for a kindler, gentler way to "capture the moment"?

This is a short clip from a video I made a couple weekends ago on a hiking trip in Washington's North Cascades.

This clip while short, is still about 5 megs. So, dial-up users beware. You will need windows media player to view this. It's still rendered at a high enough resolution to play in full-screen mode. Remember to turn on your sound too!

Right-click the link below and choose "save as" and save it to your desktop and then open from there. Enjoy!

that is so cool indeed! Hey, let us know what equipment you used to make the video? I expect that it might be a bit pricey but hey, the joy and pride of sharing images made in that manner may have a price to it.

    Again, thanks for sharing.

Look Like "All Purpose Never Leak Waders" to me.

The video is great. Waiting to hear details of the Camera Etc. If you are so kind. Jax

Yeah, how DID you do that? I've always wondered about the underwater trout pics in fly fishing mags. Is there such a thing as an underwater disposable camera? I really hate taking my nice digital camera anywhere near the water, dry bag or not. Have dunked too many electronic devices in the past. DANBOB

    Thanks guys!

The camera I use for underwater shots is a Canon SD300, with the optional underwater housing. Here is a link to what it looks like. A lot of the Canon cameras have an underwater housing available. Some of them are made to go much deeper than this models 10 feet.

Here is another video from a trip last month into the Frank Church wilderness in Idaho. First link is 20 megs. The second one is the same movie at lower resolution and is 8 megs. Right click and "save as".

And here is a still taken of the first fish, downsized a lot of course.

Oh, and that's not me in the video or picture, it's my fishing/hiking buddy. I was behind the camera. And yes, I had the same brand of waders on!

    Enjoy!
