    Default New to the forum...

Been lurking awhile, recently started flyfishing (6 months now) For the most part Ive been learning in one of our local lakes here, and cant get enough, Im looking forward to getting down to the coast early next year for specks and reds, also planning on visiting several places such as Idaho, Colorado, and an assortment of spots on the East Coast.... I live and work here on the border of Texas 2 hrs due west of San Antonio as the Director of Emergency Medical Operations for a small county (2200 sq miles).

I look forward to learning from the staff and membership here.

    Thanks,

    Bruce

    Hey there Bruce,
Welcome to FAOL. This is a great place to learn more about your new hobby of fly fishing. Some real "old salts" around these parts and they sure know their stuff. Feel free to ask questions, but remember, we're all still learning just like you.

    Welcome Bruce!
I hope you will become a happy member of FAOL.
There is a lot to learn here. I'm glad you know CPR because how shall I say it delicately? Some of us aren't getting any younger!
Be sure to give us flyfishing progress reports.
    Thanks,
    Doug

    Hey Bruce,

Nice chatting with you this afternoon. Keep some time open for that trip to the Idaho Fish-In the last week of September. Lots of fine fly fisherfolks from FAOL gather there to bother those pesky trouts. Course we also have some casting help and some of the old timers also point out some really good holes to the new guys.

    Bruce,
You can believe everyone around here. Not like some sites that tell STORIES about what they catch.
A photo of your fish is required though (for our enjoyment)

    Gnu Bee Flyer,
SO! Your NOT a expert fly tyer? NOT a master caster? NOT well versed in flyfishing etiquette? Don't know anything about FISH behavior? Above all YOU weren't a extra in the movie The River Runs Through It, disguised as a TREE?

I am an expert in all things. Period. And don't you forget it.

Ps. An Expert= X is the unknown quantity and spurt is just a drip under pressure.

Ps that wasn't Brad Pit that was me in disguise.
