Merry Christmas all!
it will be sorely missed.
I have an Orvis Unsanded Superfine 8'3" 3wt Western I would part with. The Westerns are more of a Medium 3-to-4wt.
I have been fishing micro-swivels with all of my nymph and streamer leaders for 4-5 years now. Would not switch. I use 4-5' tippet for nymphs, and about 2' for streamers.
If you listen....they will tell you what they want. ;)
Great points! Paying attention is half the game.
Love that fly!!
I have an Orvis Western 8'3" 3wt 1988 vintage Superfine (Wood reel seat) in excellent condition. Would like to trade for the same vintage rod but the 8'6" 6wt Limestone or 8' 6wt Trout model in...

Prayers for the best.

Suffice to say, the largest bluegill...
Free Beer?....is it only free in the daylight? I have nothing against drinking beer in the dark. Just sayin'.
That's why I said, I too do not care for mono-thread furled leaders for warmwater as well....just offering an option :)
I use a 7wt, and a 6wt rod for bass. I would say no more than 50 yards of 30# backing. I honestly have NEVER seen backing on any of my warmwater rigs. I prefer hand-twisting my own bass leaders...
Really nice Byron. Great memory captured.
Norm, that's Prit'near perfect!
Nicely done Norm!
I've been buying the blue and black neoprene cases off of EBAY for $4 each for years now.
As are most all of his patterns, this one in particular does well coast-to-coast.
