Very interesting book.
Nothing like that here, still have the A/C running, but the water in the local lake is getting real low due to the lack of rain, and the wind has been really bad also.
I don't think I would use a canoe or kayak as it is pretty thick with cattails and with all the boats and airboats running around, it would be asking for trouble. The area the picture was taken has...
About an hour and a half. But you need a boat to fish it.

Fun time today at Miami Garcia
You can always tell a fighter pilot, you just can't tell them much.
14833I use soft foam for my poppers, and when I paint them, I use regular craft paint and spray cans to paint them. I then use Liquid Fusion to coat them. I stopped using cork because it was harder...
I think you can buy blank molds from Barlows. Maybe have a local Machine shop cut them however you want.
I looked at it and it isn't bad! I will keep am eye out for the next issue.
As far as the magazines go, as was said before, they seemed to just lose touch with the regular guy who fishes. The one...
Last summer, my Scott 5wt, an old Dr. Grabow, and a whole lot of fun!

The Cabelas/ BPS merger in my opinion will not be a good thing. I worked at BPS in the Fly shop, and to say that it is a sorry excuse for a fly shop is an understatement. The newer store I worked in...
I would think that your bass lines would work, and the weight rods you are taking should be alright. Can't help with the patterns as I have never been there.
As far as boots go, I have had 2 pairs...
We have had 20-30 mph wind here all week, and the lakes are so low from the lack of rain, it's getting tough to navigate. Today was the first day without the wind and I took the boat out to the lake...
That's a good one!!
Thanks for all the info!
When you apply head cement to a small fly, what do you use to apply it with? Bodkin? Toothpick? Just want to keep the cement out of the eye and off the feathers. Or maybe I am over thinking it.LOL
I know that I have been out of touch with this board, but has the Chat Room been disabled?
Yes, I am using saddles.
Thanks Bruce, I will try that method and see if it works out for me.
I was just trying something different for the bluegills, wanted to see if I could tie the smaller flys and see how well they worked. They work fine, and yes, I fish barbless, and have not gut hooked...
I have been tying some " trout " flies, like a Wulff type fly without the wing, I just leave out the two feathers out of the collar because they don't last long with the bluegill. But they sure seem...
I see bluegill trying to use their dorsal to hit the fly sometimes. They seem to want to try and cripple the fly.

I worked in the Fly Shop in the local BPS when it opened here. At first, the local shops were worried about their business, but it soon became apparent that BPS is no threat to the local stores,...
Beautiful fish! Ours here in Florida don't have those colors.
