Today we remember the more than 2,400 U.S. servicemembers who perished during the attack on Pearl Harbor Dec. 7, 1941. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten and reminds us what it means to serve. We have the watch!

My prayers out to them for their huge sacrifice.

A special day for me for sure. Not only historically, but my favorite (late) cousin, Midge, was born 12/7/1941.

My Grandfather served in Pearl Harbor immediately following the attack. Although a young man, his hair turned white while there, and remained white the rest of his long days. I believe my grandparents were married to each other for over 60 years. They died just 4 months apart.

I visited the USS Arizona Memorial in 2005.
A very humbling experience.
