January 2023
I finished off 2022 well. 46 different types of fish on fly. 207 Koi, 133 Goldfish, 40 Grass Carp, 46 Bowfin. Those were the only species I tracked numbers of.January and February in the Midwest are generally tough for flyfishing, unless you have spring fed trout streams nearby. Not many do. The rest of us take what we can get.In just 2 years of flyfishing for Koi, I've discovered I've caught Goldfish in every month of the year, and Koi in every month except June (because I haven't fished for them that month). I'll try to get that squared away this year.I've done well enough so far. 16 types of fish in January, including 42 Koi, 24 Goldfish. Here's a sampling of some of the fish:https://s9.gifyu.com/images/E081A3E9...92150990BA.jpghttps://s9.gifyu.com/images/CCDAABAA...118C2873F7.jpghttps://s3.gifyu.com/images/922FB811...6B08D7242E.jpghttps://s9.gifyu.com/images/34D81B81...D8002A9A8C.jpghttps://s9.gifyu.com/images/7FDFFEBA...B8111C3CD8.jpghttps://s3.gifyu.com/images/CF343994...322019167A.jpghttps://s3.gifyu.com/images/A137C81E...1F2F8C2B9E.jpghttps://s9.gifyu.com/images/4D11B1FA...55B6AD0BB2.jpghttps://s3.gifyu.com/images/43116552...F0401444F1.jpghttps://s3.gifyu.com/images/1DC3F2F8...44BA92761A.jpg
