Well what would you expect from our great "KDWP"?
Maybe from the Bridge?
The prohibitions only apply to really tall people.
Looks to me that it means No Fishing from the bridge...if that's a bridge. ???
Okay, get all logical on me, yes, the no fishing sign was posted by the county, which maintains the road and the bridge, and applies to the top of the bridge. That sign has been there for decades, and you can see the well worn path down to the bank along the bottom of the bridge which is controlled by the Corps of Engineers and therefore is open to fishing. The KWPD sign is new, though, and creates the humorously contradictory appearance. I thought it was definitely worth a picture.
Where is that located at? Is that over around La Cygne?
No, Drew, it's out at Hillsdale. Welcome aboard the board by the way! I spend a lot of time at Douglas SFL right there in your backyard, but rarely do I get to LaCygne.
It appears that the bridge troll has been active.

Hillsdale is a close drive for me too, but I prefer to fish moving water. I wish we had access here like they do over in Missouri, but some stream nazis seem to want to own the water too. I have been trying to figure out a way to organize a movement to open up access to streams in Kansas like we have in Missouri, but am coming up cold. Perhaps it is something that should be discussed.
