Jim Birkholm Memorial Fish-In (aka Michigan Fish-In) Fly Swap

It has been suggested to Me to "Host" a "MiFi" Fly Swap for those heading to The Fish-In (Great Idea Mark aka McSteff) the number of "Swapper's" , will be determined by the Swap sign-up deadline which I'll put at 1 June. that should give plenty of time to tie the amount needed.
We will conclude the Swap at the Fish-In, Thus saving on postage.
I'll start with doing the Fly Jim "Dreamed up a couple of years ago...

Still waiting to see if I can get away from work for at least part of the Fish IN. Work has been very busy, and the schedule of work is getting deeper and deeper into the summer. God willing I will know something soon.

Like I have time to tie flies... I can barely see straight with work and house projects. last year I bought BWOs from the fly shop at Gates because I was too busy working, baking and cooking.

If we don't get any more why not just tie 2 for each? One to fish and one for a pattern.

Work's for Me Jack. I'm hoping as the Fish-In get's closer more will sign up!

Bill, you may have to just drag us up to the Board Room and "make" us participants tie some flies. ;)

Heck, a fly tying evening might just be fun!

Oh, BTW, we'll be in the middle building this year -- we're gonna bring the dogs with us. (That may give Butterfly some guys to play with.)

O.K. I'm going to close this swap on Monday 7 June, right now if we all tie a dozen flies that will be enough for all to get 2 flies...1 to fish and 1 for reference.
So if You are coming to the Fish-In Ya ain't got much time so sign up for the swap ;)

i am going to see if i will be able to go. if i do i will join in.

Mr. Bill just got off the phone with the boss I will be at the Fish In for at least a few days so sign me up for the swap. I will tie some green rock worms or soft hackle or maybe some streamers cant make up my mind..

What day is the meat and eat, I mean the meet and greet? Not sure where I will be staying as of yet, might just bring the tent and set up at Canoe Harbor. I have not camped in a lot of years and think it might be fun.

i cannot attend, drivers training and basketball camps. Maybe next year.

I still need to tie about half dozen Al'sl simple elk hair caddis for the the swap. Have no fear I will get them done.

Bill - in case you want to update... I see that sulphers may be hatching in the evenings while we're there. So, I'm tying up some #16 sulpher comparaduns for the swap.
