Next Project 9' 5wt.
Just ordered a 4 pc. kit from H&H and Bob swaped out the grip for a full wells (few bucks more).
Soon all my go-to rods will be of my making!
All I need next is a 7-71/2' 3 or 5 wt.
And, before you ask, my store bought (Cabela's) rods will be donated not sold

Hey Jack,
A big "ATTABOY!" on your last sentence!

Chris,
Good for you, too! I have an 8' 3wt 2pc Legend Ultra & somebody will REALLY enjoy that one...it's a neat rod.

Hey guys,
Glad to see others pursuing the lofty goal of an all self made quiver. It is a great feeling when you get to the point that you don't even care what the latest factory rods are since you won't ever buy one again!

Ty...the 9' 3 wt IM6 H&H blank makes the best rod in that blank line that I have built.
It is a stiff butted, soft tipped rod that reminds me somewhat of a Winston IM6.
My biggest regret is I didn't buy better fittings when I built it but I didnt know how good it was gonna be.
It has plenty of power yet it is a true 3 wt IMO.
I'm am a man that is over stocked with 3 wt rods...its one of the best.
