I can barely fine time to get flies done for a swap in time, let alone work on the 2 blanks and all the parts for rods sitting in the corner!
By the way, I'm betting you go over the top on your jack-o-lanterns too! If not you will next year right?

I would LOVE to lose some of that spare time. I've been out of work since April. Scanning the job boards and emails from friends then firing off resumes is handled pretty quickly now that I have established a system to handle it. That leaves a lot of time to be creative so I don't drive my wife nuts.
Yes, I actually used a soldering iron. I have one on my bench for very fine electronic work. Even at that, it was a bit big for this. It took a pretty light touch. Of course, I should have probably turned the darn thing down from 900* :lol:
Halloween is our holiday. I turn the front yard into a graveyard and made all of the tombstones from foam insulation boards that I glued up for size and then painted, dressed with a little craft moss and then staked down in the yard. I never liked doing jack o' lanterns so I showed the grandkids how to do them with the little saws and patterns, and now we have a competition each year. We also tried to instill the idea that they could make a better costume than they could buy. They do pretty well with it.
