Hello Fellow builders
Decided to finally join up last night. You can never talk rod building too much right?;)
I know some of you guys know me already as I recognize a few familiar names. My name is Steve Clark, go by "steeldrifter" on the sites I run, and owner of Midwest Custom Fly Rods. Actually saw a post about Tiger eye blanks here is how I found the site and was just about to reply to that post with some info, but thought I should be polite and indtroduce myself first.
Look forward to helping when I can and also seeing some new ideas to learn from with your guys. Take care
Steve

Welcome, Steve. I learned a lot about rod building from good folks like you over at rodbuildingforum.com, and look forward to your contributions here. We're always looking for folks who can help us learn new techniques, and in particular we enjoy lots and lots of rod porn, which I know you have lots of.:p Welcome to the FAOL family.

Welcome aboard Steve! I'm sure you will enjoy it here.

OH GREAT just what we need another rod builder here trying to talk me into building a fly rod.
First it is hey Tim you need to learn how to tie flies, $100.00s of dollars later I am tying some pretty nice ones
Than it's hey Tim you really need to build a rod. It is easy. Now we get another nut job rod builder and I am sure Steve will be saying come on Tim come over to the dark side.
Why do I get the feeling that by the next Michigan Fish In I will be tossing a nice 3 wt built by yours truly?

Greetings and welcome from SE Idaho.
Read many of your posts regarding Sevier Tiger Eye blanks on the rodbuildingforum before deciding to build a rod on that blank.
A belated thanks for all the help you were in the blank selection and ideas on rod building.
John
And talk about Rod Porn ?? We'd better hope Steve keeps it at a minimum.
