thread - Danville 6/0 black
tail - grizzly hen dyed dark green
rib - peacock herl/x-fine wire gold
abdomen/thorax - rabbit/angora goat mix black
hackle - grizzly hen dyed dark green

mash barb, wrap front of shank with non-tox

start thread, wrap underbody, taper front and back

dub thread, dub tapered body

prep hen hackle and tie in by tip (I'm thinking a came up a bit light on the dye job, but it does darken up a bit when wet)

take a few turns of hackle, tie off, half hitch x 2, SHHAN; go find a drake hatch

That is a nice and buggy fly. I'd mash that barb a bit more. It might not pass the T-shirt test. :)

Good looking tie right there Scott.... I really like the colors, both the body and the hackle!
