Hi Flyracer77.
First, welcome to the board. Some of the places you might consider are the Cactoctin Mountains, the Gunpowder and if you want to come west of Frederick about an hour and a half, the Casselman river and the Savage River. There are more.
Just a suggestion, ask the Moderator to move this post to the General Discussion Board and you will get a lot of help. You can ask the Moderator by just posting it as a reply.
Good Luck
Here is little something else that might give you some help:

Well I'll tell you one thing, if you wanna go to the gunpowder falls be sure to go on a weekday. Weekends are packed with annoying kayakers and tubers (in the summer of course)
Go west young man.
If you plan on taking a trip to the western part of the state I can give you some pointers on where to go. There are some great streams(Savage, North Branch of the Potomac, Yough, Cassleman) and many, many small streams that are loaded with brookies.
There's a flyshop right on the main drag (Market Street) that you should visit:

Also, in addition to streams already mentioned, Big Hunting Creek is just up the road in Thurmont. There's pretty good fishing there for trout, although it can get crowded - not hotspotting here, everyone knows about it. Potomac River is just down the road too, for smallmouth. Please feel free to PM me if you want any more info.
Regards,
Scott
Just to the west of you is Beaver Creek. A limestoner that has mixed areas of put and take (as the state calls it) and a stretch of catch and release. Forget the exit # off of I-70, but it is before you get to Hagerstown. Numerous brookie streams in your area. Murray at the shop in town there is more than helpful. Don't know what you're used to fishing for (size/type) or the type of waters, but there is fishable water up your way. Hope this all helps somewhat.

Flyracer77,
PM sent.
flyracer,
please PM. you have so many options it's silly!
also stop by Hunting Creek Outfitters in downtown Fredneck. Murray will guide you toward the light! Gunpowder will be a good option but don't limit yourself to that. Treat yourself to a short 2 or 3 wt (6' or 6'6" is perfect) if you like brookies...like I said, please PM!
