Free Kindle general fishing books for today
-
Silver I have a question. I am not very experienced with my kindle. I think I lost all of my books one time because it ran out of charge. maybe....maybe not...
but....someone has told me that if you do not read the free books soon they will disappear. Could you enlighten me on that? My wife downloaded the 4 books. But I do not intend to read them till a month from now when we travel.....
Do they really disappear after a period of time if not read?
How long does one get them if not read...before they....uh....go away?
If one just reads a portion of one and then stops.....will it never go away then?
Would appreciate you intellectual property on this.....
Plain old jim...I'm plain...and I'm old

I download them to my Kindle cloud reader and a Kindle. The other free books that I have downloaded to my Kindle have not disappeared. But I have read part of them.

They should still be available from your Kindle on line library

Whitewolf,
You don't lose your Kindle library when your battery goes flat. I have 'free' books in my kindle I downloaded in 2011 - they don't expire.
If you think anything is missing from your Kindle, go to Amazon.com, roll over 'Accounts and Lists', look down the right-hand column and click on 'Your content and Devices.' You'll have to sign in to get access, but you will find a list of every Kindle book you've bought, regardless of price. (That's the only way I've found to delete a Kindle book.)
All the best,
Cliff

Plus one on what Cliff said. I've had many on my Kindle App that I have never opened and they are still there and I assume always will be. You can download a book to your hard drive so you can read it anytime even without an internet connection. If your hard drive crashed you would lose the downloaded version but the original would still be on your Kindle account.
