Since we were discussing food, one of fly fishers favorite
things, here's some from the Steak-Fry. The outdoor grill
was part of the resort, and large enough to cook dozens of
steaks with room left over for corn.
Dinner was late since many of those attending were off fishing for
steelhead. It was worth waiting for, note the headlamps on some
of the diners. Left to right on the photo below, Dave Ulmer (slicfoot)

The steaks were prepared by Grizz with his 'secret rub' - and it was
a good as he had advertised!
Here's dinner, a little variety depending on if you quit fishing
early or late. Trust me, everyone had their fill.
As long as we're talking food, several of the group had dinner at
the resort dining room one night. Nice looking place, nice view,
the food unfortunately was less than nice, and the service wasn't
any better. Not recommended. At the table below, left to right,

On the bright side, there was really good food available, just
across the bridge! In fact, right next to the "Welcome to Lowell"
sign. It's the Wilderness Motel and Cafe. They serve good food, reasonably
priced, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Clean with excellent service.
If you are in the region, don't miss it. (Homemade pie too.)
Many of our group discovered the Cafe during the week we were there.
