Age Lessened by DP Salamone

Standing on stream's bank before these eyes, Happiness spewing forth as he moves, In graceful melody with ripple and wind, Only now a mere recollection in this old mind. Recaptured are those days as I watch him frolic, As once I recall long ago. Oh, what I thought had been forgotten, Thanks to grandchild before me, Returns ten-fold. My teaching has rekindled these memories, As I watch him cast and mend, Feeling at this moment a grand contentment, As his rod tip begins to bend. Fore this is the beginning of the journey, That we all hope will never end. On it goes into the future, Through youth, Age lessened once again. ~ DP Salamone
