Don't know if turning fifty in the Millenium sets thought in motion,There really was no way to see it coming. However, it is here and all to quickly.
Still remember being sixteen, Excited about that first fly fishing experience. Couldn't wait to wet the line. Now it seems so long ago, Passage of time.
All of those years spent pondering the mysteries of life, What path to take on a seemingly long journey. Has it really gone by this fast? Passage of time.
No longer are there questions to answer, Just simple wants and needs in their stead. Don't need to race ahead any longer. Passage of time.
How simple the answer searched for can be when found, Showing itself at every turn of the bend and never seen, At corners of every crossroad traveled. Passage of time.
To tie and cast on early morning's wings, A simple length of line from rod and reel, No complicated, complex task. Passage of time.
The walk through life is strange and wonderful, Itself having no heartbeat, No breath known, However, well it teaches what our heart really desires, As it quickly passes by. ~ David P. Salamone
