A Fisherman Reflects
(A Tribute to Lee Wulff)
by Bob Jacklin
The larger trout, much less shy,
completed the rise and took his fly.
The blue of the pool was lost in the swirl
of this giant char whose freedom was spoiled.
Back and forth through pool and riff,
Up in the air and down below
My memory rings of long ago,
A Fisherman Reflects was published in 1997 by the National Library of Poetry in Into the Unknown and received the Editor's Choice Award and Third Place Award.
