I have tried most dyes, paints, chalks etc. in
order to color two part epoxy and still maintain
that see-through quality.
I have found that most agents will turn dark or
black when mixed with the two part epoxy. The
best solution I have found is available at better
art supply stores. Dr. Ph. Martin's concentrated
Transparent Water Color Ink. It is available in
numerous colors, comes in 1/2 oz. bottles, and
provides an excellent see-through epoxy.
Just use the smallest amount; I dip a pin into the
ink and apply a very small amount to the mixed epoxy,
add more until desired shade is achieved.
