Fly Tying Terms

Materials:

    Hook: 6/0 Modified Harrison by D. Paris.

    Tag: Gold tinsel (Fine oval)and dark blue silk.

    Tail: Golden Pheasant crest and a pair of chatterer back to back.

    Butt: Natural black ostrich.

    Body: Three equal sections: the first two of yellow and blue silk, a pair of green-tipped red under-tail lorikeet coverts back to back and below, butted by natural black ostrich; the third of light green silk.

    Rib: Gold tinsel.

    Throat: A pair of green-tipped red under-tail lorikeet coverts back to back.

    Wings: Scarlet macaw with green tip.

    Shoulder: Dark red macaw.

    Sides: Flame-colored minivet over blue-streaked lorikeet.

    Topping: Golden pheasant crest.

    Horns: Blue and gold macaw.
