An old favorite on the Rogue River in Oregon, USA, popularized by Mike Kennedy. Mike's pattern uses Red Fox Squirrel tail for the wing.

Recipe

    Hook: Partridge 01.

    Thread: Black.

    Tag: Fine oval silver UNI-Tinsel.

    Tail: Small bunch of red hackle fibers.

    Butt: Peacock herl.

    Body: Red UNI-Floss.

    Rib: Fine silver oval UNI-Tinsel.

    Collar: Several turns of Furnace or brown hackle pulled down and back.

    Wing: Peacock.

    Head: Black.
