    Default Coach robb's FOTW

    Coach, how do you usually fish the fly? I think is is a great fly that would really work well for crappie, but do you strip it, or let it sit and wiggle under an indicator? Nice job on the pics and descriptions. Thanks.

    Fished around stucture. It's light enough to drop off pads. Strip,strip, drop. Strikes usually occur on the drop. The collar hackle really gives some nice motion. I Was taught by a friend not to set the hook. Lift the rod slowly and wait for the tap.

    Coach Robb....nice looking fly, I can see that pattern tied in red working very well for me on some lakes I fish for cutts. I think I will have to tie some and see how they work
