I use duns, white and tan T base for my posts on various dry fly parachute patterns. They are a little change from calftail. Poly yarn works good too and comes in lots of colors. Antron is a bit slippery for me to hold the wrapped hackle.

My biggest fear when I die is that my wife will sell my fly fishing gear for what I told her I paid for it!
T-base makes a very nice, simple split wing a la calf tail, as well.
A.K. Best had an article using white T-base for the wing of a Royal Wulff...
...of course, then we all had a big arguement over whether A.K.'s fly was really a Royal Wulff or, more properly, a Royal Wulff variant.
I get my white T-Base from Feathercraft. I wish they carried other dyed colors.

Wish I could have found my Dun T-base...would have been nice for the Black Gnat, I tied for the Quill swap...I know I have two packs some freegin place.
Pretty simple to buy white and dye it whatever color you wish..
Wish ya great fishing,Bill
