    Philly,
And JUST LIKE THAT I'm legal. Many thanks for lighting the way. I wasn't able to access their website. All I got were ads from others who were willing to help for a "small fee". The only end problem was that I could not get the actual license to print so I did print the proof of payment and the "Transaction Number". Thanks again. A GREAT weight is lifted and fears of years and years of incarceration at hard labor transforming boulders into sand, WHEW !!! The resident senior fee was $1.50 plus a .$0.50 + $1.05 add ons for the bureaucrats ......total $2.55.

    Thank You!

Not a problem for me. I have a lifetime Iowa license. They do that for old geezers.

    Hey Rick,
Ya know, I'd be REALLY PO'd if I paid $20 for a lifetime pass and died after only ONE year. How UNfair? The program is for suckers.

I have a friend that thinks like that, Mark. There are four of us that fish together. We're a few years passed 65. Three of us have gotten the life time senior license. I got mine first. When I went to buy my fishing license in the spring of the year I turned 65. My birthday is in late November. The fly shop sold me the life time license. Back then it cost me, if I remember correctly, $55 which include the trout stamp. The other two don't really fish for trout so their's was a little cheaper. PA is a bit more expensive than Illinois. A 1 year senior license is $11.90, tack on another $10 for a trout stamp/permit if you fish for trout. I figure I've got my money's worth. Plus my license stays in it's holder on my fishing vest and I don't have remember to buy a new one each year.

65 and over or under 18 no license is needed in Ontario Canada. This is my first year not to purchase a fishing license.
    Sort of bittersweet.

Georgia doesn't require a fee for a lifetime license for old guys, unless you want a plastic card (like a credit card) then it's $10. I just printed numerous copies and put them in my vest, float tube, Nucanoe, everywhere I thought it would be convenient.

What I don't understand why anyone would stay in IL after retiring.
I retired at 55 and left IL two days after I retired. NowI pay $500. Real Estate tax on a $150,000 house
Able to fish 365 days a year and don't have to shovel snow.

I lived in northern Illinois for 7 years. Central Iowa for the remainder of my 50+ years. Moving in a month or so to St Louis, MO. Not ready to retire yet, but it seems like the right direction. Mountain Home, AR, has always intrigued me, although I've never been there. I don't want to hijack this thread...but what do you think of it?
