the pattern description you listed, seems to be a variation on kelso's red #$%. the recipe that im used to seeing is more consistent with a green butt.

    hook: mustad 3906, size 14
    thread: red
    tag: thread
    body: peacock herl
    hackle: gray partridge

I have seen many variations on this , some tied with just a red or green tag on them , some tied with a full abdomen instead of just a tag, some with uni wire bodies, some with beads, etc.... one I like during green caddis or grannom hatches is a green butt, but it is tied with a full green abdomen, not just a green tag , and a peacock herl thorax. makes for a nice emerger. this is a pattern one of our local guides considers his signature fly.
    WOW John!
Thank-you so much! I can't tell you how much I appreciate this recipe, I have it written down now and it won't get away again! Thanks for all the variations, too!
    Kind Regards,

Charlie, you might want to add this pattern to your collection . vary the abdomen color by using different metallic thread colors. tied with an olive abdomen and with a red tag, I think it out performs the red butt. good luck
