I have seen many variations on this , some tied with just a red or green tag on them , some tied with a full abdomen instead of just a tag, some with uni wire bodies, some with beads, etc.... one I like during green caddis or grannom hatches is a green butt, but it is tied with a full green abdomen, not just a green tag , and a peacock herl thorax. makes for a nice emerger. this is a pattern one of our local guides considers his signature fly.
