hook - Dai Riki 305 #16
thread - Danville 6/0 pale olive
body - dubbing olive
post - Uni-Stretch olive
wing - hen hackle tips
hackle - grizzly dyed olive
antennae (optional) - Midge Krystal Flash rootbeer


Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in loop of Uni-stretch






dub thread, dub body






tie in wings; trim butts






tie in antennae




tie in hackle, wrap, tie off at base

dub head




moisten fingers, sweep hackle fibers back




pull hackle forward over thorax, tie off at base of wing (trim off tag end of post)




half hitch x 2, SHHAN, trim antennae
