I fish out of a square stern grumman canoe & thinking about putting some outriggers on it to help stabilize in large rivers & sight fishing standing up. Anyone have experience with outriggers on a canoe?

MN,
If you send me your email address, I'll send you a photo and explain how I have my Grumman square-stern rigged with outriggers and stand-up post for sight fishing. I don't know how to do photo bucket. Regards, Bill

Great, thanks!
I have a 12' solo canoe that I have considered putting building outriggers and then mounting oar locks atop them so I can row it.
I have seen some commercial units, but I think I can rig up some square aluminum tubing for much less than what is offered.

I think the low cost way of doing this is PVC pipe and foam cylinders, large pool noodle type cylindrs.
