I fished the Tweed River last month for trout. Most of it is controlled by the Tweed River Assoc. Rod fees per day for trout were seven pounds, about $12.50. Salmon fees are much much more. I heard a figure of 1000 pounds per rod per day.
Lots of strange rules, salmon anglers of course have priority on the river in all ways.
Weather was quite cool and no hatches were showing although it was time for the large drakes. I caught a good number of fish but all were very small. Did not see any salmon caught even though there were a few in the river. Enjoyed the experience.
