Bomber Tied Down Caddis SBS

The "original" Tied-down Caddis, with a dubbed or yarn body and no front hackle, has been around in the Northwest for a long time.

Found the front hackled version in Flies of the Northwest (great book, by the way). Bruce Salzburg also has a nice one over on Han's site http://www.danica.com/flytier/bsalzb...own_caddis.htm

Tied this one with moose body hair over the back and a fanned front, with the idea it could push a little water

Tie that in pink or blue on a looped eye salmon hook and cast it on frog water with silvers underneath and it just might be the most explosive topwater action you have ever seen...

I hate foam...

Got to get some deer hair in those colors and give it a try
