well saltwater anglers seem to chum with no moral or ethical outcry so I can't see why it would be so outrageous to chum in freshwater (as long as its legal in that area of course).

    Hey Folks,

Chumming for rough fish is quite common
in Europe. The sport is considered a bit
more prestigious as well over there. Here,
many of us tend to look down our nose at
carp and other rough fish, but those in the
know are fully aware of the sport they can
provide and in some cases quite tasty table

You won't get any smartass coments about how Carp are inferior when in Europe they are bigger than Bass are here. The site has many helpful members on the board that will answer your questions.

So Irondragon, you think that honest opinions regarding carp are "smartass comments"? Feel free to attack back about the ugly trouts and the repulsive waters in which they are found, I personally, can handle the abuse.

    Marco,
Devil's Ditch had a question and he just wanted to know what people do to catch carp. Most people posting were making wise cracks. People seem to have problems with carp because they evolved to live in the waters most fish can't. Also most people can't get to trout waters. So they look for the biggest fish in there area. This usually is carp. I know this won't change your opinion. The deal most of you have with carp is just stupid. I think if you are looking for carp info you should go to a carp site where people will help you. Not make jokes because in there opinion they think a type of fish does not deserve to exist. If you don't have anything to say that will help the person asking questions then don't post it.
    Just my thoughts and goodbye,
    Steven
