SEELEYGRIZ, the only place I've fished the South Fork is right below the confluence of Youngs and Danaher Creeks in the wilderness. The river probably is not as good closer to Flathead Lake and definitely receives more fishing pressure. If you get a few days this summer, I'd recommend a backpacking trip. You can go over Pyramid Pass, or over Youngs Pass from the Lodgepole Creek trailhead. Either way, it'll be a little over 20 miles to the South Fork but well worth it!

Do you fly fish much on Seeley? I used to love fishing on Seeley for trout and bass but the pike seem to have taken over. I've never tried for a pike on a fly.
