And darned if there weren't some 'gills taking something small off the surface. Temp was in the upper 40's. The stream is very different after the flooding last May.

I've thought about making some little chartreuse CDC midges for just such days. Around here, I've seen them taking some tiny chartreuse midges that look like caddis.
