Great trip and pix dphotoco...it appears the waters of the Orinoco are clean and yet slow moving where you were.

MontanaM, We went to a zone near the Meta river, one of the large affluents of the Orinoco. This is a spring fed lake that a few years ago was flooded by the river and received a huge population of Peacock Bass. Hence the still waters.

As a matter of fact we did. We managed to land some where near a hundred of them. But I wasn't the one carrying the water proof camera.
